About Paused Beat

Paused Beat exists because a life deserves more than a forwarded WhatsApp message. We’re building the place Kenyan families, and families across Africa, can turn to when a heartbeat pauses: to announce the news with dignity, gather the people who mattered, and hold a memorial that outlasts the group chat.

We’re launching with the emotional core first: dignified death announcements with private, invite-only notifications, and a collaborative memorial space for tributes, photos, and memories. Commercial features (contribution management and a funeral services marketplace) come later, only after the platform has earned the right to offer them.

The platform is free at launch and the core memorial experience will always remain free.
